OR Books welcomes seasonal internship applications from undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates.
Ideal candidates will be familiar with OR Books and our model. We’re looking for someone to jump in and help us with every aspect of our craft: publicity, sales, marketing, and production. The applicant should be familiar with the ever-shifting social media landscape as it relates to publishing. You should be able to work independently and manage several tasks simultaneously. Interns will be responsible for assisting with sales reporting, liaising with third party retailers, updating databases, maintaining our social media presence, helping with general administrative tasks, and facilitating online fulfillment and distribution. Knowledge of MailChimp, HTML, and Excel are a big plus.
Demonstrating an interest in OR Books and in contemporary publishing generally is critical. Enthusiasm and wits are more important than experience: we are trying to do everything differently anyway.
All internships take place in our New York office. Please note we are unable to respond to every application.
To apply, please submit a resume and a brief letter of interest to internships [at] orbooks.com. Please do not send writing samples or cover letters longer than one page.
